Oil on canvas
48 × 60 in (122 × 152 cm)
Between the Ripples is one of my most personal paintings, exploring consciousness, identity, and how we experience life.
The idea began with a realization that has stayed with me: I am not my thoughts; I have thoughts. It made me question something deeper. If I am not my thoughts, then who am I beyond my name, my memories, my experiences, and everything I've come to identify with?
The woman at the center represents the observer, or higher self, the part of us that can witness our thoughts and emotions without becoming them. Her stillness contrasts with the world around her, reflecting a sense of awareness beyond the constant movement of the mind.
The water above represents universal consciousness and our connection to something greater than ourselves, much like individual drops belonging to the same ocean.
The floating spheres symbolize thoughts, ideas, and possibilities that come and go through our awareness. We can choose to follow them or simply let them pass.
The desert represents emptiness and the space between thoughts, a place of stillness where clarity, creativity, and new possibilities can emerge.
The small figure walking through the desert represents our individual journey through life. Her footprints reflect the passage of time, while her size reminds us how differently our problems can appear when viewed from a greater perspective.
Together, the two women represent different perspectives of our existence. One moves through life, shaped by time and experience, while the other remains still, quietly observing. Between them lies the question that inspired the painting: Who am I beneath it all?

Ky-mani Marley
Custom Painting for Ky-mani Marley
Oil on canvas
36 × 48 in (91 × 122 cm)
Original painting, hand-painted and signed by Frida Davidsson.
This custom portrait was created for reggae artist Ky-Mani Marley for his personal collection. I worked from a reference photograph but made my own adjustments to the painting rather than recreating the image exactly. Painted entirely in oils, I spent a lot of time capturing his likeness and working on the smaller details, especially his tattoos and the different skin tones.

11:11
Acrylic on canvas
30 × 40 in (76 × 102 cm)
This painting was created as a private commission, based on a client's vision of a Rolex pocket watch submerged underwater, surrounded by sharks, with the time set to 11:11:11.
The concept brought together several unexpected elements, creating a scene that feels both realistic and surreal. I worked from the client's original idea while adding my own artistic interpretation, bringing the different elements together into one composition.
The result was a highly personalized painting, created specifically around the client's vision.

Future
Custom Painting for Future
Acrylic on canvas
60 × 40 in (152 × 102 cm)
Created as a private commission for hip-hop artist Future, this painting reimagines The Last Supper in a contemporary setting, incorporating personal references and symbolism connected to the artist.
The entire composition was built from individual reference photographs, with each person carefully positioned and almost every detail customized. From the specific shoes and jewelry worn by each person to the objects placed throughout the scene, every element was carefully chosen to make the painting personal and meaningful.
One of the biggest challenges was bringing everything together into a realistic composition. Since the reference photographs were taken from different angles and under different lighting conditions, I had to adjust the lighting, proportions, and perspective to make everyone appear as though they were sitting together in the same space.
This was one of my most detailed and complex commissions, involving a great deal of planning and attention to detail to bring the entire concept together.
The result combines realistic portraiture, intricate details, and storytelling to bring a highly personalized creative vision to life.

John Johnson III
Custom Painting for NFL Player John Johnson III
Acrylic on canvas
36 × 60 in (91 × 152 cm)
This painting was created as a private commission for NFL player John Johnson III, combining realistic portraiture with a more expressive painting style.
I used a combination of traditional brushes and palette knives, building up layers of paint and texture throughout the composition. While the portrait itself was painted with careful attention to detail, I took a looser approach to the surrounding elements, creating a contrast between realism and abstraction.
The result is a personalized painting that brings together two different styles, giving the portrait a sense of movement and energy.

Private Commission
Acrylic on canvas (matte finish)
30 × 40 in (76 × 102 cm)
This painting was created as a private commission for a client in Miami, featuring a portrait of him and his wife.
Working from reference photographs, I created a personalized composition, making adjustments to bring the two subjects together in a way that felt natural and balanced. The focus was on capturing their likenesses while creating a painting that felt personal to them.
The finished piece was created specifically for their home, turning their photographs into an original work of art.

Ain't No Peace
Acrylic on canvas
36 × 60 in (91 × 152 cm)
This painting was inspired by a moment I witnessed during the Black Lives Matter protests in Hollywood in 2020, following the death of George Floyd.
While participating in one of the protests, I saw a woman standing on top of a car, waving an American flag above the crowd. It was a powerful and emotional moment, especially during the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic. I captured the scene with my camera and later decided to turn it into a painting, making a few artistic changes to the original photograph.
The painting was later selected as the cover artwork for Ain't No Peace, a 2020 album by recording artist Akon. What began as a moment I witnessed on the streets of Hollywood became the visual representation of a music project released during a significant period of social unrest and change.

Body Painting Performance for Dani M & ADAAM
Tempera and fluorescent paint on canvas
Commissioned for Swedish hip-hop artists Dani M and ADAAM, this painting was created as the official cover artwork for their single Baddie, with the painting process filmed for the song's promotional campaign.
The artwork combines expressive portraiture, abstract painting, and live performance. Instead of traditional brushes, I use my body as the primary painting tool, pouring and splashing paint onto the canvas through movement to build layers of vibrant color. The portraits are then developed by hand, emerging from the abstract composition.
The technique embraces spontaneity and unpredictability, allowing movement and unexpected marks to become part of the creative process. Fluorescent paint adds another dimension, making the artwork glow under UV light.

Body Painting Performance for Yo Gotti & Moneybagg Yo
Tempera and fluorescent paint on canvas
Created for the music video Ya Bih by American hip-hop artists Yo Gotti and Moneybagg Yo, this performance brought together live painting, movement, and expressive portraiture.
Using my body instead of traditional brushes, I created an abstract background through layers of fluorescent paint, splashes, and physical movement, before developing the portraits by hand. The vibrant colors react under UV lighting, creating a striking visual effect.
The painting process was filmed as part of the official music video, transforming the creation of the artwork into a performance where spontaneity, movement, and painting become one.
