I’m Frida Davidsson, a Swedish artist based in Los Angeles. My creative path began in makeup artistry, where I first discovered the transformative power of color and form. After moving to LA, I studied art at Santa Monica College, but most of my development has come from years of self-directed experimentation that shaped both my technique and perspective.
I began working in acrylic and expanded into murals and performance-based projects, including live body-painting pieces where my own body became the tool. These early explorations taught me to think beyond traditional boundaries and see art as both an object and an experience. Over the past few years I’ve transitioned into oil painting to push scale, depth, and detail further, focusing on original works that explore themes of consciousness, self-awareness, and personal experience.
Today, my practice centers on creating paintings capturing moments that feel psychologically charged and emotionally present, work that invites viewers to slow down and engage on a deeper level. Alongside my personal projects, I create a limited number of custom commissions each year, collaborating with private collectors, notable individuals, and global brands.
